Background
Engineers with TSK Products first started using UV light for disinfection in the 1970s in municipal water treatment. When looking for a solution for controlling transmission of infections in hospitals, TSK Products once again turned to the technology it was familiar with. We looked again to Canada when the product used previously was manufactured and found a willing, capable partner in Sanuvox Technologies.
The collaboration produced the first of several products made specifically for the hospital environment, balancing performance with cost. The latest product, 610UVCP, uses five crystalline quartz bulbs, each with an aluminum parabolic mirror to capture and direct all the light produced onto high touch surfaces.
