Trendelenberg - No longer is it necessary to place the patient on the floor to get blood circulating again. Medical recliners have Trendelenberg positions built into them. Often they are optional features, unless they are specifically treatment recliners.
Swingout arms - Patient lifting disappears when the recliner's arm is open to receive the lateral transfer of the patient into and out of the chair.
